Let the Games Begin

Although my official start day is September 1, I was able to start my introduction to the hotel industry prior to this. I spent the weekend with the Businesss Manager and his family, and by the end of the weekend I was ready to start work as I was exhausted and needed a rest. We started with a trip to the Chicago Suburbs to visit a relative. After a nice lunch we visited a really cool store called IKEA. Walking around a big store is not easy for a little M & M. This was my first trip to this area, and although I had fun, it was a very long day.

After church the next morning we played golf in the afternoon, and returned just in time for a neighborhood picnic. Although I couldn't get too close to the grill, I was able to enjoy another great meal, and even had room for dessert. The hosts were kind enogh not to serve M&M's as we hate to eat our young. After a few beers and a Pomegranate Martini, I was ready for bed and I was asleep as soon as my head hit the pillow.

Although Monday was a holiday, I was due to start and after a quick set of tennis, I reported for duty at about 10 AM to officially start my tour of duty.
